Faculty Mentor Program (FMP)

The Faculty Mentor Program helps students of all majors build valuable relationships with UC San Diego faculty, develop research skills, and envision a future in graduate or professional school. The program is open to students with Junior or Senior standing, and research is conducted in Winter and Spring quarters.

FMP Offers Students

Relationships

A structured academic environment to interact and work with academic experts in their field and receive constructive feedback and guidance.

Research

The opportunity to hone their research skills either by assisting a professor in his/her research, or designing their own project to work on throughout the academic year.

Professional Development

Workshops and resources to refine the writing and communications skills that will critical in graduate or professional school and beyond.
