Undergraduate Virtual Resources
Undergraduate Research Directory
The 2019 - 2020 undergraduate research directory reflects our best knowledge of UC San Diego undergraduates participating in mentored research between Summer 2019 and Summer 2020. The Directory is a resource for all members of our community to share and acknowledge the accomplishments of students and mentors over the last year. We hope you find it useful and inspiring!

The Research Guide
Anahi Ibarra is a UCSD Alumna that created a research flip book guide for her TRELS Spring 2020 research project, specifically for first generation college students. She hopes the guide can help all students interested in research and provide resources on how to get involved on campus.

Undergrad Research e-Course
AEP designed a quick online course for students interested in learning more about undergrad research. The course module provides background about opportunities for undergradutes to engage in research, and includes an optional self-test at the end.

Grad Slam
Grad Slam is an annual contest to communicate research. It aims to make research accessible by providing emerging scientists and scholars with the skills to engage the public in their work. While Grad Slam is a competition for grad students, undergrads can attend grad slam events and view research projects to get inspired.

The Craft of Research
The Craft of Research provides a basic overview of how to conduct research. This book explains how to select a topic, gather sources, analyze evidence, and communicate results through writing and public speaking. You can access an electronic copy of the book on the UC San Diego library page, using the UC San Diego VPN.
