Summer Research Program

The UCSD Summer Research Program is an eight-week, full-time research experience for undergraduates, supported by the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program grant, the California Alliance for Minority Participation in the Sciences grant, and the UC Office of the President.  The objectives of the program are: to provide students with the skills to become research scholars; to stimulate serious consideration of graduate study; and to increase the graduate school enrollment of underrepresented minorities and low income, first-generation college students.  The program takes place from Monday, June 22 to Friday, August 14, 2009.
